Update March 13th 6:49 pm

Well the Doctor just come back to give us some updates. The scan showed that there was nothing blocking or on his colon. But some blood work came back and they found that he has an extremely low in vitamin B-1. So they are pumping him full of vitamin B1 which is called Thiamine which helps with his balance and his eyes from jumping around. We are hoping that this will improve his sight and balance. The other thing that they are looking at is called Disseminated Encephalomyelitis which is shorten as A.D.E.M. which is an acute condition that mimics multiple sclerosis. This is just a idea they are looking at they will only go with this after they have ruled out everything else. There is still a chance that they are going do the brain biopsy tomorrow night or the Tuesday morning. If he doesn't make huge improvement that may be what the doctor will recommend.

  6. I know this is really gross.... And sounds kind of silly considering the tests theu have run on Acey, but vitamin B deficencies are usually the out come of tape worm. Just throwing that out there..... Love you guys! Praying for both of you, the kids and the doctors

  10. Acey, Don't get too used to this loafing around. It won't last! You'll be up and doing what needs to be done. Remember the tender mercies of the Lord and those who care about you. We want you and Jalyn back home with us. I can truly say I know what the support of family, friends and the Lord means in times of uncertainly. Embrace the love and keep the faith. You do your part and God will do His. Jalyn, don't let Acey get behind in his scripture reading. He may need you to read them to him for a while. I enjoyed reading to Steve while we were at the hospital. I pray for you, your family, and all who are caring for you. Cheri Southwick

  11. Ok this may be off the wall...but my dad said that his father had similar symptoms many years ago and almost died...it was a major adverse reaction to a FLU SHOT!! Just a thought. Hope all goes well and that they figure it out soon!! Lots of love and prayers from the Johnston family!!
