Acey had a ruff start to his morning, he threw up his breakfast, I asked his what was wrong and he said, "it was gross". So the nutritionist just stopped in to see what Acey would like for breakfast and snacks and I told her he liked chocolate muffins, well she has never heard of a chocolate muffin before. She said where would you find a chocolate muffin? COSTCO HELLO, she was looking just as strange at me as I was at her, it was pretty funny.
Acey's got a pretty heavy work load today 7:30 am -9:00am OT, 11:15-12:00 PT, lunch, 1:00pm-1:45pm Speech, 2:30 pm-3:15 PT again. By the end of this coming week we will have a better idea of how long he will need to be here for.
Good news today is that he is not going to be eating oatmeal anymore! And he was able to put on his shirt!!!
That is absolutely hysterical! Man, that lady must live in a cave to have never even heard of chocolate muffins! If he needs me to make a Costco run a bring a dozen down let me know! Glad to hear he is progressing. Keep up the good work Acey!
ReplyDeleteHELLO is right! I guess maybe chocolate isn't high on the list of healthy food. Hope they find something that is better than oatmeal. Proud of you guys for going at this in such a positive way!!! Love and Miss You, Rusty and Carla
ReplyDeleteLOL!! I think that is pretty funny, chocolate muffins, you mean that's not standard hospital food?? Way to go on the shirt Ace! We are cheering for you.
ReplyDeleteClassic!!!! Too funny~ Hope you get to enjoy that chocolate muffin soon, Ace!
ReplyDeleteThat nutritionist just couldn't wrap her brain around someone wanting a chocolate muffin. Ha, ha. Would she have been happier with an apple muffin. LOL. Enjoy your chocolate muffins, ACE and leave that oatmeal alone for awhile. Nice work putting your own shirt on. Hey, you don't have to wear those lovely hospital gowns anymore!!!!!! Now, I'd say that's reason enough to celebrate...with a half a dozen chocolate muffins. I'd bring them for you but I just can't imagine where I might find any, especially in the thriving metropolis of Salt Lake City!!!!! Gotta laugh. Oh wait, I bet I could stop at our little teeny tiny Merc here in Dietrich. Ya think! ;) Sounds like you have quite the schedule and here's wishing you much success. I have faith in you. Dona D.
ReplyDeleteI love chocolate muffins - I hope they let him have them!! Sounds like an exhausting schedule - keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteLOL about the muffins. Make sure they provide him "Little Debbie brownies" for snacks. She probably haven't heard of them either. Stay strong and keep working hard. The Ballards
ReplyDeleteAre you sure she's not the sick one???
ReplyDeleteFunny, funny! I'd just be sure to have him stay away from the poppy seed ones while he's in there. You don't want them to think he's doing drugs while he's in there!
ReplyDeleteLooking at that therapy schedule is enough to make me exhausted! I hope Jalyn is armed with some great cheers to keep you going!!!
Diddo Heather's remarks! lol That does look exhausting! :) Great job Ace! and Jalyn! You need some cheers too for all you're doing! Keep it up!
ReplyDeleteit must be a sorensen thing, oatmeal makes me puke too. I'd always rather have a chocolate muffin over a bowl of goo! keep up the good work. teach those therapists what good food and hard work really are!
